You can see a doctor by phone in Vancouver through Mavrio Health. Book a time on the Avee Health booking page and an independent BC-licensed physician phones you. The visit is covered by your BC health card. Seeing a doctor by phone in Vancouver
Vancouver has many in-person walk-in clinics, but appointments fill fast. A phone visit lets you talk to a BC-licensed physician from home, work or anywhere in the city without travelling across town.
How it works
- Book a phone visit. Pick a time on the Avee Health booking page. Have your BC health card (Personal Health Number) ready.
- A BC doctor phones you. An independent BC-licensed physician calls you at the time you booked.
- Get your prescription delivered. If the doctor prescribes, the prescription can go to Pharmasave Selkirk #1023 in Maple Ridge, which fills it and delivers it to your home.
A phone visit can't replace a physical exam. The doctor may tell you to be seen in person. Some medications may not be prescribed over the phone. The doctor decides what is appropriate for you.
It is not for emergencies. Call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest emergency department. If you're not sure how urgent something is, call HealthLink BC at 8-1-1 to talk to a nurse.
