Privacy policy
How Mavrio Health collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information, and how to ask for access or a correction under BC privacy law.
Opening soon across BC. We are not yet accepting patients.
Who operates this website
Mavrio Health is the name of this website. It is not a pharmacy. It is not Pharmasave, and it does not speak for other Pharmasave stores.
Orders are filled by Pharmasave Health Centre #005, #1005, or #1023. A pharmacist at one of those licensed BC pharmacies is responsible for the care they provide when they fill your order.
Services on this website are for patients in British Columbia, Canada.
The site is a preview. It is not accepting patients yet. Please do not send a real health card or a real prescription photo until the pharmacies say the service is open.
Our pharmacies lists licence numbers and addresses.
What we collect
If you make an account or send a request, we may collect personal and health information, including:
- Your name, date of birth, address, phone number, and email
- Your BC Personal Health Number, if you give it
- Health details you choose to share, such as allergies, medicines, and conditions
- Insurance details you choose to share
- Photos of an ID or an insurance card, if you upload them
- Prescription transfer details (for example, the name and phone of your current pharmacy)
- Refill requests and prescription photos you upload
- Answers from pharmacist minor-ailment (MACS) assessments and related clinical notes
- Messages you send to pharmacy staff through the website
- Whether you agreed to email or text messages, and which consent version you accepted
- Basic technical details, such as the browser you use, so the site can run and stay safe
We ask only for information a pharmacy needs for your care, for a claim, or to meet the law.
Why we collect it
We use this information to run the website and to support pharmacy care, including:
- To let a pharmacist review a transfer, refill, upload, or assessment and fill a prescription when appropriate
- To contact you about your requests and your care
- To send a PharmaCare claim or a private insurance claim if you ask us to
- To keep the records a BC pharmacy must keep
- To protect the website from misuse
PharmaCare is British Columbia’s public drug plan. PharmaNet is the provincial list of medicines filled in British Columbia. A pharmacist may check it when the law allows.
Who can access your information
You can see your own account information when you are signed in. You choose what you enter or upload.
Pharmacists, technicians, and other staff at the partner pharmacies can access information they need to review requests, provide care, and fill prescriptions. Access is limited by role and by what the law allows.
A small number of people who operate and secure the website may access systems for support, monitoring, and safety. They do not use your information for advertising.
The public cannot browse another person’s chart or messages.
Where it is stored
Account and health information entered on this website is stored with Supabase on servers in the United States (AWS region us-west-2) today. Pharmacy staff who need your chart for your care can open it with their own sign-in.
Dispensing and pharmacy records at the British Columbia pharmacies follow College of Pharmacists of BC rules separately.
If those website servers move to another region later, this page will be updated after the move.
How long we keep it
We keep pharmacy records for the time the College of Pharmacists of BC requires. We keep account details while your account is open, and longer if the law says we must. When we no longer need information, and the law lets us, we delete it or remove details that could identify you.
Text messages and email
We ask before we send text messages or emails that are not needed to fill your prescription. You can say no and still use the pharmacy. You can change your mind later. Write to the privacy officer, or use the stop option on a message once that option is turned on.
The words you agree to are on the consent page. We record which version you accepted and when.
Consent wording is on the consent page.
Access and correction (PIPA)
Under BC’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you. You can ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Tell us your name and what you want to see or fix. We may need to confirm who you are.
We aim to answer within 30 days. If we need more time, or if the law limits what we can share, we will tell you. If we do not make a correction you asked for, you can ask us to note that you disagree.
You can also contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia if you have a complaint.
